Mangaluru, Feb. 20: A First Aid Awareness Programme was conducted herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Mangaluru with an aim to educate students about the importance of First Aid and equip them with the necessary life-saving skills. The programme was led by Sri P. G. Venkat Rao, who provided invaluable guidance and practical knowledge on how to effectively handle emergency situations. The Principal presented a Tulsi sapling to Sri Venkat Rao as a token of respect, gratitude and environmental awareness. In his session, Sri Venkat Rao explained the concept, objectives and importance of First Aid in daily life. He stressed that timely and proper First Aid can prevent minor injuries from becoming serious and can even save lives in critical situations. He explained the basic principles of First Aid including staying calm, assessing the situation and ensuring safety before providing assistance. The demonstration covered several important topics such as burns, controlling bleeding, proper bandaging techniques, management of fractures and sprains, electric shocks and helping a sprained or unconscious person. Practical demonstrations of appropriate stretchers using ropes, sticks and T-shirts helped the students to clearly understand the step-by-step procedures to be followed in emergency situations. The session was interactive and the students actively participated by asking questions, sharing their experiences and volunteering for practical demonstrations.

ಮಂಗಳೂರು, ಫೆ. 20: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡುವ ಮತ್ತು ಅಗತ್ಯ ಜೀವ ಉಳಿಸುವ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಜ್ಜುಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ನೇತೃತ್ವವನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ಪಿ. ಜಿ. ವೆಂಕಟ್ ರಾವ್ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಅವರು ತುರ್ತು ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಪ್ರಧಾನಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಗೌರವ, ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಸರ ಜಾಗೃತಿಯ ಸಂಕೇತವಾಗಿ ತುಳಸಿ ಸಸಿಯನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ವೆಂಕಟ್ ರಾವ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ತಮ್ಮ ಅಧಿವೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ವೆಂಕಟ್‌ ರಾವ್‌ ಅವರು ದೈನಂದಿನ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯ ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನೆ, ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಸಕಾಲಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸರಿಯಾದ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯು ಸಣ್ಣಪುಟ್ಟ ಗಾಯಗಳು ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗುವುದನ್ನು ತಡೆಯಬಹುದು ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ಣಾಯಕ ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಉಳಿಸಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಶಾಂತವಾಗಿರುವುದು, ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಾಯ ನೀಡುವ ಮೊದಲು ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯ ಮೂಲ ತತ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಸುಟ್ಟಗಾಯಗಳು, ರಕ್ತಸ್ರಾವವನ್ನು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸುವುದು, ಸರಿಯಾದ ಬ್ಯಾಂಡೇಜಿಂಗ್ ತಂತ್ರಗಳು, ಮುರಿತಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಉಳುಕುಗಳ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ, ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಆಘಾತಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಉಳುಕು ಅಥವಾ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞಾಹೀನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುವಂತಹ ಹಲವಾರು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾತ್ಯಕ್ಷಿಕೆಯು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿತ್ತು. ಹಗ್ಗ, ಕೋಲು ಮತ್ತು ಟಿ-ಶರ್ಟ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸುವ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಸ್ಟ್ರೆಚರ್‌ಗಳ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಪ್ರಾತ್ಯಕ್ಷಿಕೆಗಳು ತುರ್ತು ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಸರಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಹಂತ-ಹಂತದ ಕಾರ್ಯವಿಧಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಿತು. ಅಧಿವೇಶನವು ಸಂವಾದದ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವ ಮೂಲಕ, ತಮ್ಮ ಅನುಭವಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು.
