Mangaluru, Feb. 16: Mahashivratri was celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Mangaluru.
The students explained the significance of Mahashivratri and highlighted the significance of the day as a celebration of Shiva’s divine power, self-discipline and spiritual awakening. This was followed by the recitation of Lingasthaka by all the students. The students presented a devotional dance performance dedicated to Shiva.

ಮಂಗಳೂರು, ಫೆ. 16: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾಶಿವರಾತ್ರಿಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮಹಾಶಿವರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಮಹತ್ತ್ವವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿ ಶಿವನ ದೈವಿಕ ಶಕ್ತಿ, ಸ್ವಯಂ ಶಿಸ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಜಾಗೃತಿಯ ಆಚರಣೆಯಾಗಿ ದಿನದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು. ಇದರ ನಂತರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಲಿಂಗಾಷ್ಟಕದ ಪಠಣವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಶಿವನಿಗೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಿತವಾದ ಭಕ್ತಿ ನೃತ್ಯ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
